Reflections for Term 2 Week 5

Reflections for Term 2 Week 5 (21/04/09) By Jun Kai

Today in our IPW lesson, my group continue doing our group report. Yew Jin is doing the subject on Preventions against Global Warming, Jun Yi is doing the subject on Effects of Global Warming while Hao Yi  is doing the subject on Causes of Global Warming. My job is to gather all information of the survey we done and try to make it into a bar graph, and to make the overall conclusion of the survey. I also have an idea of the protocol that we wanted to make. It is an umbrella-shaped basket-like thing that covers the plates and bowls of a diner table and keeps the food warm. The dinner basket is made up of recycle materials and plastic bottles so as to justify our group’s statement to save the Earth.

1st Survey Data

After conducting 20 students in the school, we can conclude that the students had basic understanding and knowledge about the causes and effects of global warming and how to prevent it  from worsening. However, they are not too in depth with the knowledge and not too enthusiastic to save the Earth, their understanding did not convey with their actions. Hence we have decided to design and build a prototype that can made up of recycle materials and able to be help the people in their daily lives.

Update

It's me again! Here's a picture I found on the internet. Very appropriate for the topic we're focusing on, Global Warming. Enjoy!

Our Grace Survey

This is our first try on making a survey.  We hope the questions are appropriate and relevant to the subject

Update

Heya, my bravas! Sorry for the late post, but I found some interesting information I would like to share. Imagine, if Global Warming gets worse, and as a result, the sea water gets warmer, what would happen? The answer is that the sea would become infected with much bacteria, both known and unknown. Other effects of Global Warming are also the early arrival of spring and the late arrival of winter. Coral bleaching and extreme weather are included as well. Here is my update, see you!

(P.S. Although I do not have any pictures to prove my point, I hope you found this post interesting.)
